Tope Note Gift Card Holder

A New Take On a Classic

Since March is my birthday month (and yes I will be celebrating all month lol) I figured it would be fun to do some birthday themed paper crafts.

The first of which is a gift card holder using the Big Shot top note die from Stampin' Up. I think this particular design is a lot of fun, and as I mention in the video it is gender and age friendly ;)

You can view the tutorial here:

Wasn't that fun?! And I love that you can personalize these even more with the color of cardstock and pattern paper you select! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back soon for even more birthday fun!

Well my friends Easter is right around the corner, and with that I have our last Easter themed craft to share with you! This adorable card is all over the web, so I thought I would share my version with you all.

I promise it looks more complicated than it actually is, and who wouldn't LOVE to receive this?!

Saint Patrick's Day Mini Card

Got Green?

It's crazy that March is already half over! But in the spirit of the luck of the Irish, I wanted to post a quick tutorial on a cute mini note card I created.

All of the materials used to make this card came from Stampin' Up.  Here is what I used:
  • Cardstock in Gumball Green
  • Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock
  • Got Treats Stamp Set
  • Gumball Green Ink
  • Black StazOn Ink
  • 1 3/8 in Circle Punch
  • Word Window Punch
  • Modern Label Punch
  • Dimensionals

Now, here is what I did:
  1. Cut the gumball green cardstock to be 3 in x 6 in and then scored at 3in.
  2. Cut the designer paper to be 2 7/8 in x 2 7/8 in.
  3. Attached the designer with adhesive to the front of the card.
  4. I then stamped my clover and "Got Green?" stamp with the StazOn ink onto a piece of very vanilla card stock.
  5. Then I stamped the image again, but this time with gumball green ink.
  6. I used the 1 3/8 in circle punch to punch out the black clover, and used my scissors to cut out the green clover.
  7. Next, I used adhesive to attach the circle to my card, and some dimensionals to attach the green clover to my circle (the black background helps with the 3-D effect).
  8. Then I I punched out the black Got Green? saying with the word window punch and used the modern label punch to punch out some gumball green cardstock.
  9. Lastly, I attached the modern label with adhesive under my clover, and again used some dimensionals to attach the saying to the modern label.
  10. And you're done!
If you pay close attention you will notice that I also blinged out the modern label a little with some sparkle ;) But that part is completely optional. I had a lot of fun making this cute little note card, and I hope you enjoy it as well!

Carrot Cone Treat Holder

Carrot Treat

It may be a little hard to believe that Easter is right around the corner - especially if you are still experiencing winter weather like we are here in Iowa! But this adorable carrot treat sure helps put me in the Spring mood :)

I used the Cricut cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes & More 2 to cut out this triangle shape, and can you believe that I used a cheap party napkin for the green part?! I was a bit skeptical at first, but they turned out great!

Cupckae Wrapper Basket

Easter Cupcake Wrapper Basket!

It's a new month, which means a new theme for our paper crafts! I'm not sure if most of you are aware of this or not, but Easter actually comes at the end of March this year, so that means it's time to make some Easter Treats.

This paper craft is made by jazzing up a cupcake wrapper with a handle and an adorable little bunny. How cute would this be as place settings at your Easter dinner, in an array of pastels?! You could even switch up the bunny stamp to offer more variety there as well!

Enjoy the tutorial for this project here:

And when you are done checking out this craft, head over to the V.I.C portion of my blog, to check out the new kits available to purchase and a giveaway!!

Sour Cream Container Valentine

"Whale" You Be Mine?
Sour Cream Container Valentine

I don't know if you all have ever made sour cream containers before, but I love to make them because there is no die of any sort required!  Just some paper, adhesive, and a paper crimper and you can whip a bunch of these babies out in no time :)

By using some cute whale paper and these stamps from stampin' up, I was able to create a one of a kind valentine for family and friends. I highly suggest trying to create some of your own.

Here is the tutorial:

Enjoy!  And let me know if you try this out!

"You Color My World" Valentine

You Color My World Crayon Pocket Valentine!

Welcome back everyone for another valentine treats idea! I absolutely love this idea as an alternative to candy, and I know it is something my 4 year old would love.

All this project takes is some card stock, designer/patterned paper, and adhesive (how simple right?!). This little crayon pocket holds an 8 pack of crayons perfectly and would be a great addition to a coloring book.

If you don't have a stamp that says "You Color My World" no worries because you can just type it up on your computer, print it off, and punch it out!
